FDCA 2018 National Conference

 2018 FDCA National Conference

The FDCA 2018 National Conference will explore and embrace the unique strengths of family day care, celebrate the centrality of children across all aspects of our pedagogy and practice, examine the issues and opportunities facing the sector and consider future directions for family day care in supporting the diverse and evolving needs of Australian children and families.

The conference themes of Professional Practice, Relationships, Flexibility, Autonomy and Diversity and Social Support reflect the areas that were identified in the Perspectives on quality in Australian Family Day Care report as being key aspects of quality as identified by families, educators and coordination unit staff.

Early Childhood Australia (ECA)

Early Childhood Australia (ECA) is the peak, independent early childhood advocacy organisation in Australia, acting in the interests of young (birth to 8 years) children, their families and those in the early childhood field. We have been a voice for young children since 1938.

ECA Professional Development Resources

We offer a range of quality professional development best-practice resources for early childhood workers. Discover print and online peer-reviewed subscriptions as well as ECA’s online ‘Learning Hub’ professional development training modules. These Learning Hub modules and webinars offer self-paced practical tips and knowledge based on the sector’s latest research. You will also uncover the sector’s essential ECA Leadership Program embedded with the first Leadership Capability Framework, plus the Code of Ethics and much more.

ECA Advocacy and Membership

ECA advocates on evidence base to ensure quality, social justice and equity in all issues relating to the education and care of children aged birth to eight years. We have a Membership branch in each state and territory of Australia and currently over 5000 members. Your membership helps ECA advocate on important policy matters and contribute to the national public policy debate on early childhood education and care issues.
